What this spam word checker does

This tool scans your email body against a hand-curated list of 145 words and phrases that commercial spam filters commonly flag. Paste any text — a newsletter draft, an outreach email, or a message you received — and the tool highlights every match, assigns a weighted risk score, and shows you exactly which triggers appeared and how often.

How the score works

✦ Each trigger has a severity (low, medium, high, critical).

✦ Matches are weighted: critical triggers count 4x, high 3x, etc.

✦ The weighted score is normalised against message length.

✦ Score ranges: 0–14 Low, 15–39 Medium, 40–69 High, 70–100 Critical.

Why this matters for deliverability

✦ Spam filters score every word and phrase in your email.

✦ High trigger density increases the chance of inbox placement failure.

✦ Tone down exaggerated claims and urgency language for better results.

✦ A low score here is not a guarantee — filters also check reputation, auth, and engagement.
